The Homestead does not accept insurance and is self-pay. Sessions are billed out of pocket and payment is due at the time of service. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance to request reimbursement. I would be considered an out of network provider. Should you want to submit for reimbursement, please contact your insurance provider for details.
I do not accept insurance more as an ethical stance. Insurance requires a diagnosis for payment, at the first visit. Working with children, teens and even adults, so many come through my door struggling from environments and situations that are out of their control. With time emotional work and support, we can often work through those hiccups without "needing" a diagnosis.
I also understand diagnosing helps us better understand and treat conditions when they are present. Conditions like depression, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders and personality disorders etc. We can talk more about diagnosing during the intake session.
A variety of sessions are offered to meet the needs of individuals and families. Consults are conducted virtually. Families must complete an intake session before starting general sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes long and I run on time.

First off, you are amazing for researching therapy and making it this far on a website. Way to go! It can be scary and stressful and I am proud of you. If you would like to schedule at The Homestead, you can click on the link to request an appointment. If you have more questions, please email me. If you need to talk to me, call me. Email is the fastest way to connect.
I will help you through the process. When scheduling, I will send you paperwork through a link via email to complete. There may be questionnaires included that only I have access to the responses. I ask that the paperwork is completed 24 hours prior to the appointment so I have time to review everything. If paperwork is not completed, you may be asked to reschedule.
All paperwork is done through the portal so there is nothing you will have to fill out when you arrive. Payments are made electronically as well.
When you arrive, we will sit down and I will be sure to address any questions or concerns you have before we start any therapy work. Your comfort is the priority. During session you or your child will always be able to ask questions about anything, I am a very transparent therapist. I am accessible between sessions via email.
